At Chalmers, we believe that we are all disconnected from God apart from the grace of God through Jesus Christ. We encourage everyone to connect to God by accepting His love and forgiveness for you found only in Jesus, and to surrender your life to Him. This is the first step in the walk as a Christ follower.
We believe that as Christ followers, we remain connected with God through worship, prayer, scripture and fellowship with other Christ followers.
GROW TO BE LIKE JESUS
At Chalmers, we believe that the life of a Christ follower is a continual process of growing to be more like Jesus. We understand that ultimately God does the growing in us through the Holy Spirit, and yet, we have a part to play in preparing our hearts as good soil for growth.
CARE FOR OUR COMMUNITY AND BEYOND
We believe that Jesus calls us to love our neighbour as ourselves, and to go and make disciples of all nations. At Chalmers, we understand that each one of us is sent out to engage those in our sphere of influence with the Good News of the Love of God in Jesus Christ. As a church family, we also get together to care for our community in words and actions.

our beliefs
At Chalmers we are a group of Christ followers and as such we hold to the core beliefs of the Christian faith.
If you have ever read through different churches statements of faith, you will know that some churches make strong judgements against other Christians that believe differently on what seems like unessential issues.
At Chalmers we agree with St. Augustine when he wrote, "in the essentials UNITY, in the non-essentials LIBERTY, and in the all things, CHARITY".
Below you will find what Chalmers believes are the Christian essentials with which we seek to have unity.
If you are looking for a certain topic and it is not specifically addressed, it probably means that we consider it a non-essential of the Christian faith and therefore we seek to give people freedom and grace in how they work out that belief in their lives. In all things, we want to be a community of faith that is united in love for one another.

We Believe That:
GOD is the only true God who, through divine mystery, exists in three Persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
GOD THE FATHER is the Creator of heaven and earth, provider of all things, our eternal heavenly Father, holder of all covenants, and the final Judge of mankind.
JESUS CHRIST is the only Son of God, was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, led a sinless life, was willingly crucified as atonement for the sins of man, rose from the dead, ascended into heaven, will return to rule the earth with justice, mercy, and truth, and is the only mediator between God and man.
THE HOLY SPIRIT is the comforter sent by Jesus, dwells within Christian believers, bestows spiritual gifts, guides into all truth, draws people to Christ and directs Christians to live a godly life.
MAN was created by God in His image, was created innocent but fell through disobedience, is now born with a sinful nature, and can only be reconciled to God through faith in Jesus Christ.
SATAN is a fallen angel, rules the forces of evil, is the father of lies, has come to earth to steal, kill and destroy, and is subject to God and the name of Jesus.
THE BIBLE consisting of the Old and New Testaments is God's revelation to man, is divinely inspired, infallible and is our sole guide and final authority in all matters of faith and practice.
SALVATION of man is solely by God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ, is bestowed on those who accept Christ as Saviour and Lord, and results in the indwelling of the Holy Spirit and the gift of eternal life and resurrection.
THE CHURCH is the body and bride of Christ, and is made up of all those who believe and have accepted Christ as their Lord and Saviour.
THE FAMILY is a unit ordained by God, sanctified by marriage, and blessed by Jesus Christ
MARRIAGE is the lifelong covenant and union of one man and one woman

THE FRUIT AND GIFTS of the Holy Spirit.
THE RESURRECTION AND JUDGEMENT of all people after the second coming of Christ.

Congregational Christian Churches in Canada (CCCC's).
Chalmers is also part of the Kincardine and District Ministerial Association,
a group of local churches that work together to advance the Kingdom of God in the Kincardine Area.
